Top Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Kenya: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top maps and navigation applications on the Android platform in Kenya showed varied trends. Leveraging data from Sensor Tower, here is a closer look at the key metrics for these apps.

GPS Phone Location Tracker by ReiDxSoft saw a dynamic quarter. Weekly revenue experienced fluctuations, peaking at $96 in late January. Downloads showed a downward trend initially, dropping from 958 to 350 by January end, but later recovered to 639 in early March. Active users increased steadily, reaching 1.7K by March.

GPS Coordinates Locator Map from Firehawk reported a notable increase in downloads, especially in March where numbers climbed to 1.1K. Revenue peaked at $99 in the final week of March, while active users also rose to 1.5K during the same period.

Navionics® Boating by Garmin displayed a decrease in downloads, starting at 192 and falling to around 26 by quarter's end. Revenue reached a high of $92 in late January, while active users saw a decline, closing the quarter at 65.

GPS Maps Voice Navigation App from GeniusTools Labs maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $39 in February. Downloads began at 616, dipping to 189 by March. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, increasing to 4.5K by mid-March.

Finally, Circuit Route Planner by Circuit Routing Limited had consistent revenue around the $18 mark initially, with a slight rise to $25 in late February. Downloads remained low, with a slight peak of 42 in mid-March, while active users hovered around 70.
